The creative sector is undergoing a rapid transformation as digital technologies, Web3 platforms, and decentralized communities reshape how we create, collaborate, and earn. The shift is not only technological but also cultural — offering new ways to engage audiences, share value, and build sustainable careers in the arts and creative industries.
The workshop “Creative Futures in Web3 – Exploring Sustainability and Earning in the Digital World” invites artists, designers, cultural producers, and innovators to take a closer look at these emerging opportunities.
During the session, Mitja Kaipiainen, Senior Planning Officer at the Finnish National Gallery, will present concrete examples of how creatives are already generating income in new digital environments. Participants will also have the chance to reflect on how they might apply similar approaches in their own professional practice.
The workshop encourages curiosity and open-mindedness towards the evolving intersections of creativity, technology, and sustainability. Whether you are exploring NFTs, blockchain-based communities, or new collaborative models, this event offers inspiration and practical insights into what’s happening at the frontiers of digital creativity.
Kickoff sessions
To prepare for the workshop, participants are required to attend one of two online kickoff meetings on Teams:
- Tuesday 5 November at 16:00
- Wednesday 6 November at 15:00
Links to the kickoff and to the online workshop will be sent to registered participants by email a few days before the events.
Join us for an afternoon of inspiration, discussion, and exploration into the creative futures of the Web3 world!
